Day 12 Fly to Addis Ababa.

Danakil Depression and Erta-Ale
Day 01 Arrival in Addis Ababa and transfer the Hotel. Balance of the day, city tour of Addis Ababa.
Day 02 Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash Park, visit the park, the waterfalls and The Gorge.

Day 03 Drive to Abedelale Natural Hot Spring and end of Awash River/Awash Delta to Lakes Afambo Lake, on the way, visit the visit Haussa Afar Royal Village by the side of Awash River, then proceed to Semera for an overnight. Camping.
Day 04 Drive from Semera to Afdera Salt Lake. O/n camping by the Lake.
Day 05 Drive from Afdera to Dodom, arrange camels and start walking in the evening to Erta-Ale, arrive next morning, (rest and naps on the way). Camping.
Day 06 Spend the whole day at Erta-Ale, enjoy the marvellous view of the active volcanic eruption, the dry lava around the carter lake and at night the volcanic eruption becomes more colourful and beautiful. O/n camping at Erta-Ale.
Day 07 Spend the whole day at Eart-Ale to see the volcanic Eruption until 9 pm. The walk back to Dodom through the night with rest stops and naps/short sleep morning arrival at Dodom.
Day 08 Trek to Dodom, meet the car and drive to Afdera. O/n camping.
Day 09 Drive from Afdera to Mile. O/n local hotel.
Day 10 Drive from Mile to Woldiya. O/n Hotel.
Day 11 Drive from Woldiya to Mekele. O/n Hotel.
Day 12 Drive from Mekele to Amedela. Ahmedela salt extraction village. Camp here and drive to Lake Asale for the beautiful desert Sunset over the lake. Then back to Ahmedela for overnight.
Day 13 Excursion to The Dalul unique land formation and natural hot springs with different colours, salt hills and Lake Asale to see when the people work on the salt extraction. O/n Ahmedela.
Day 14 Drive to Mekele (about 170km) from the Rift Valley to the Western Highland over the escarpment of the great Rift Valley enjoying the extra ordinary landscape and camel caravan all the way. O/n Mekele Hotel.
Day 15 Fly from Mekele to Addis Ababa and fly back home. End of the Tour.

Birdwatching programs
DAY 1
Arrive in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital. Assistance at Bole airport and transfer to your Hotel. Balance of the day, city tour of Addis Ababa. O/n Hotel
DAY 2
Drive from Addis to Sodore hot spring area by the side of Awash River; on the way, birding stop at Debre-Zeit. Overnight hotel.
DAY 3
Drive from Sodore to Bale Mountains National Park. Stop at Dinsho, the head quarter of the Bale Mountains National Park. This is a very nice spot for birdwatchers where they can see several birds, including the endemic once. The endemic mammals like The Mountain Nayala, Menelik's Bush Buck and others are also seen here at a very close distance. Hotel for an over night.
DAY 4
After breakfast, drive to the Sanetti Plateau birding in the area. This represents an outstanding example of Afro-Alpine moorland. Here, you will enjoy close up views of the Simien wolf, Africa's rarest carnivore where the biggest population of them live than anywhere else in Ethiopia. Their habitat preference means the Sanetti Plateau is the place in which to seek them. Fortunately, they are very approachable and allow for superb photo opportunity. This place is also a paradise for birders. overnight Hotel.
DAY 5
Drive from Goba to Lake Awassa; lunch at Wendogenet, the smallest green paradise, where you can see many birds. After lunch, proceed to Lake Awassa. O/n Hotel.
DAY 6
Early morning birdwatching and drive to the Aregash Lodge, at Hagere-Mariam, the compound is full of birds which can take you more than a day. O/n Lodge.
DAY 7
After breakfast, drive to Yabello, another excellent site for birding. O/n Local hotel
DAY 8
Drive to Lake Langano via Awassa. Lunch in Awassa. Overnight hotel.
DAY 9
Drive to Addis Ababa via Abiata-Shalla Lakes National Park and the stone Obelisques of Tiya. O/n Hotel
DAY 10
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
