Menagesha Forest National Park is found at 42 km West of Addis Ababa after passing the town of Menagesha. On the way, stop at Gefersa where you can see many bird species including the endemic ones like: the Blue-winged Goose, the black headed Siskin, Rouget’s Rail and others. The Mountain of Menagesha is covered with old Juniper trees dating back to 400 years. It is a well kept and the nearest NP to Addis Ababa. Walking through the forest and enjoying bird watching and a tranquil atmosphere is a remarkable activity. Picnic lunch by the guest house or in the mountains. Late afternoon, drive back to Addis Ababa via Meta Beer Brewery.
